After the devastating loss of their son Len. His truly devoted and inspirational parents Lynda and Andy set out on a mission to help those struggling in the industry and raise money for charity as they did so.
They set themselves a monumental task. To drive a tractor from John o' Groats to Lands End and visit as many people as they could doing so. Travelling to various stops at cattle markets and events along the way.
Working alongside the farmers guardian they have now distibuted several thousand tractor window stickers to help those in a cab who might need it.
Andy, Len's father set up the 5 a day challenge. A daily reminder to try and achieve one of the 5 challenges set out.
1 - Be honest with yourself and those around you
2 - Talk openly about daily challenges and listen
3 - Care for yourself as well as you care for others
4 - Contact that person you've been saying you should
5 - Plan for the unexpected - make the right choices
We have extremely proud to say we have worked alongside Andy and Lynda to help share their message and help them in their journey to helping others.
We were honoured to host them near Newark alongside the FCN and Farol ltd as they passed through whilst on their tour to Lands End.
Part of their 2000 mile journey took them to the houses of parliament where they met with MPs to talk about entering suicide awareness in collages and universities curricula and issues and pressures farmers were facing.
